Sick again...

We finally heard from Esme's doctor regarding the CT scan she had on Friday...it showed she has sinusitis. We kind of knew that. However, it is significant that it showed she STILL had sinusitis on Friday, after 10 days of antibiotics. The doctor has changed her medicine and instructed that she take it for 30 days to get her completely cleared up. That's a long time to take antibiotics! Despite the diagnosis, though, Esme is feeling a lot better. She is still congested but otherwise doing fine.

On Monday morning, Aidan didn't feel well and had a low-grade fever, so he stayed home. After a few hours, though, he felt better and I took him to school. Tuesday he felt fine and went off to school as usual, but at 1:30 p.m., the secretary at school called to ask me to pick Aidan up, as he had a fever. This morning he still had a fever, so he is home again today. He is taking Tylenol and Motrin and the fever is down. He is also quite congested and so is taking it easy today.

We had the plumbing installed for an irrigation meter today. Our township is going to be doing away with the cap on water sanitation charges - and so without a separate meter for our sprinkler system, we would also be charged for the sanitation of the water that goes into our lawn and not into the sanitation system. Tomorrow morning the township folks will come out and put the meter in, and in the afternoon they'll come to inspect it. Then (if the temperature ever goes up), we'll be able to "sprink" (Esme's term) the lawn without wasting money on sanitation that's not taking place!

We took Grandma Margie to the surgeon's office on Monday for the six-week check on her leg. She's finally able to put weight on her left leg and ankle, and will be starting physical therapy soon. She's very excited about getting back to her own house, and about being able to do a bit more again.
