Brrrr! Yesterday was the first day of spring, so naturally we are having an enormous Michigan snowstorm today. Four hours ago, the sun was shining and the roads were dry. Now...there are about three inches of snow on the ground, the roads are treacherous with snow and ice - not to mention the whiteouts - and the snow is just pouring down - sideways, of course.
Esme is feeling a bit better now. She is still coughing sometimes, but not as much, and she is also less congested. She'll be starting on her second 10-day course of antibiotics tomorrow. This morning she had her CT scan, and there are no cats in her head! We don't have any results yet, but Esme was so good for the procedure and held so very still even though it was a little scary. She charmed the nurses as usual! We were so surprised to be finished with the whole thing before our appointment time even arrived!
Aidan got up at six a.m. this morning - 45 minutes earlier than his usual wake-up time...so he could play computer games. *Sigh.* Oh well, at least he was ready for school in plenty of time!
Jim is at the car dealership this very minute, buying a used Mercedes. Earlier today, he fully intended to buy a used 1992 Mini (British and right-hand-drive) from a seller in Georgia. However, as a collector's item it was difficult to finance - plus there would have been quite an investment in air travel to get there with my brother, his personal mechanic. So he is now buying a different dream car. Mercedes?!?!?! Well, at least we won't all have to get up at 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning anymore...
Super big thanks to my mom, for coming out here yesterday to attend the Grandparents' Day party at Esme's preschool. They had a lovely time - and cookies - and then the three of us girls spent the rest of the day shopping and chatting. What fun!
I hope it stops snowing before Easter...
