When traveling with children, it is always a good idea to head out early, to be sure one makes one's flights on time. So we headed out as soon as we were ready on Friday morning, and were at the Grand Rapids airport waaaay early. That's okay! We had plenty to do. Here's Esme playing the Tinkerbell game on her DSi while we wait at our gate.
Aidan's a little obsessed about his DSi; he won't play with it unless it's clean. We didn't bring his "polishing cloth" (an old burp rag from babyhood days), so he pretty much didn't play with it after this moment right here, 'cause he got a fingerprint or two on it. *Tsk*
At the airport in Orlando there is a Kennedy Space Center shop where they have a little piece of Mars. Our kids are touching Mars!

At Downtown Disney, the kids met their first palm tree!
The Characters in Flight balloon was grounded today because of high winds. I didn't want to go on it anyway. :)
Here's Aidan waiting for a water taxi to the shopping area of Downtown Disney.
Esme, waiting for a water taxi.
Cool Halloween decorations at Downtown Disney!

Driving from Downtown Disney to Epcot, we actually saw an armadillo! We assumed at the time that it had escaped from somewhere, but on Sunday we asked someone at the Animal Kingdom, and she said they don't keep them there...but they are native to Florida! Go figure!
